Host Team consists of greeting at the front doors or passing out bulletin at the Worship Room doors.
One aspect of volunteering for Host Team is being at your posting before service begins and during the first two songs of service to greet any latecomers. Since you will be missing out on worship, we want our Host Team to attend our Pre-Service Service at 9:15 in the worship room.
Pre-Service Service consists of a worship song, a devotional, and most importantly, prayer for the upcoming service.
After Pre-Service Service you can go to your assigned position.

Greeting at the Front Doors
This job position consists of opening the front doors and welcoming everyone into the building. When the weather is nice, quite often our greeters hold the doors open the entire time. However, when the weather is colder, our greeters hold the doors open when someone is walking into the building. This is position is the first encounter any guests will have with our church. After the first two worship songs are done, you are free to go sit down.
Passing Out Bulletins at the Worship Room Doors
This job consists of passing out bulletins to everyone who walks into the worship room. You will need to stand outside of the doors in the lobby. Once the service starts, you will need to close the doors to the worship room but still stand outside of the doors in the lobby. While people trickle in, please open the door for them while you pass out the bulletins. After the first two worship songs are done, you are free to go sit down. Don't forget to grab a bulletin for yourself!
We use the South Lakes App to schedule all of our Host Team positions. Please be sure that you have an account on the app with a good email address. The app will send you a notification when you have been scheduled and a reminder when you have accepted a position. Below is more information about setting up your profile on the SL App.
