There are two shifts for volunteering: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM and 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. Each volunteer position listed is for adults, but we encourage you to bring your children to serve alongside you!

Greeter
Description: As a Greeter, you will be the friendly face welcoming families as they enter the building. In this engaging role, you’ll help create a warm and inviting atmosphere by sharing information about our exciting activities and locations, while answering any questions visitors may have. Perfect for outgoing individuals, this position is ideal for those who love connecting with new people and providing helpful information. Cookie Decorating
Description: As a Cookie Decorating Volunteer, you’ll help create a fun and festive experience by providing families with all the supplies they need to decorate their own Christmas cookies. This role goes beyond just handing out materials—you’ll mingle with families, share in their creativity, and enjoy the excitement of seeing beautifully decorated cookies crafted by both seasoned decorators and first-timers. If you have a love for the holiday spirit and enjoy interacting with others in a joyful, hands-on setting, this role is perfect for you!

Gingerbread House Assembly
Description: Join us for a fun and festive holiday event as a Gingerbread House Assembly Volunteer! In this role, you’ll help bring holiday cheer to families at John Glenn Elementary by distributing supplies for building gingerbread houses. Your main tasks will include handing out graham crackers, icing, and an assortment of colorful candies to families as they create their own gingerbread house masterpieces. This opportunity is perfect for friendly, organized individuals who enjoy interacting with families and spreading holiday cheer. If you have a passion for working with children and a love for holiday festivities, this role is for you!

Photo Elf
Description: In this lively volunteer role, you’ll assist with our "Pictures with Santa" event, helping kids get ready for their big moment with Santa. You’ll be in charge of creating a joyful atmosphere, entertaining children as they wait for their turn, and helping guide them through the photo process to ensure every child has a memorable experience. This role is perfect for energetic and cheerful individuals who enjoy working with children and have a knack for spreading holiday cheer. If you’re outgoing, patient, and have a playful spirit, you’ll make an excellent Photo Elf!
